What you'll be able to do

This workshop is intended for people who wish to practice night photography: an enchanting genre with a certain poetry. This workshop will also allow you to experience the limits of the camera when light is scarce.

How it works?

  • Technical prerequisites for this workshop: To have followed our beginner workshops (1,2,3 & 4) or to have been introduced to the photographic technique by another means.
  • Reminder: An appointment form will be sent a few days before the date of each workshop, with the exact location of the meeting and the contact details of the instructor.
  • It is quite possible to follow two 3.5 hour workshops in the same day or four workshops in the same weekend as these workshops have been designed for this rhythm.

Please note that we do NOT lend cameras or accessories

  • Minor participants can participate in our courses (under condition, see the article here in our support centre).

What you get?

This workshop is intended for people who wish to practice night photography: an enchanting genre with a certain poetry. This workshop will also allow you to experience the limits of the camera when light is scarce.

To begin with, fundamental technical notions will be recalled specifically for low-light conditions (control of exposure time, "noise" in digital photography, white balance, etc.).

Then comes the time for practice and creation (the major part of the course); you will discover the city and deal with a variety of subjects: monuments, architecture, urban landscapes, statues, road traffic, candles and light painting (the art of drawing with light).

Night photography offers incredible creative possibilities, all you have to do is discover them!

The course goes ahead in overcast or light rain — flash photography shines when natural light is scarce. In case of severe weather, Inès will offer you another date free of charge.
