Alexandra Maria Sofroni

Alexandra Maria Sofroni is a Dublin-based photographer who also works in the film industry as a Set Designer and Costume Designer. Born and raised in Romania, she graduated in Journalism, and since college, she has acquired an immersive way of expressing herself through photography. She began taking digital photography in 2016, and four years later, she ventured into analogue photography.
Her journey in photography began amongst the forests and mountains. Slowly, she became interested in photographing people. Whether it was a concert or a protest, her goal was to capture the mood and the emotions of those present. Every time she takes a photo, she feels a sense of fullness throughout her body, and every moment she captures is unique and special.
As an art of observation, she always considers photography as a power to capture one's heart which can change our eyes. It changes what we see and how we see it. When people see more, they appreciate, care and respect more because they value the things they photograph.
With a passion for storytelling, she will also teach you how to offer a photographic series in which the photographs have the power to tell a story in themselves and create a story that can be read with the eyes.
