I'm very pleased with this course. Alex conducted it very well. We had the session in Alex's photography studio - the location is excellent, he could show us equipment and we tested the cameras. I highly recommend that the beginners' courses be held in the studio.

I was very disappointed with the "classroom" - basically a local café. It was noisy, cold and not at all conducive to learning. Often I struggled to hear what Alex was saying and it was difficult to focus and absorb the difficult concepts. Nowhere on your website did you say that you do not have classrooms of your own. I regret having paid for all 3 classes, otherwise I would not have bothered to return after the first one. However good the instructor, if you cannot hear and cannot concentrate, you cannot learn. The classes were a waste of time (and money).

Absolutely loved it!

Really enjoyed this course, learnt a great deal. Edwin is so knowledgeable plus patient at explaining complicated matters.

I really liked the practical side of the course. Ario was nice. We learned how to use the aperture in street photography which is something I was very interested in.

Giuseppe delivered the course in a very engaging and professional way. The pace was good and questions were encouraged and answered. Thoroughly recommend!

As a beginner I found this course taught me good fundamentals.

Nick was a great teacher! He went above and beyond to ensure that he was answering all questions and explaining everything clearly. I now feel a lot more comfortable using my camera and am excited to learn more using my newfound knowledge. Thanks Nick! :)

I think the course details should come out earlier to allow people to plan better - not least to make personal/travel arrangments

The platform for registration is difficult and it is very hard to get in touch with anyone if you’re having technical issues.

It would be really nice to have the theory part in a classroom or a calm place (not in a bar).

Alex is a wonder and patient instructor

My camera's battery ran out so I couldn't get practice and help with it. I used the instructor's camera but am trying to learn at home now with my own. Didn't get the manual, it was hard to grasp some of the concepts without the visuals. The instructor managed to send it to us.

Kryves was excellent. He understands how to convey the lessons in an easily understandable way. Would 100% take another course from him.

We felt like there wasn't really any new content in the second lesson. The instructor wasn't really sure what she was supposed to be teaching us and mentioned that the course was too long and it should only be an hour a couple of times. Some of the exercises were the same as the first lesson as well. Not really wanting to do the third lesson because of this. Have emailed as well. Haven't heard a response back from you guys yet.

I appreciate he came prepared, had specific things to teach and I understood what he wanted us to know. Great class!

Ario was an excellent teacher and went above and beyond to make sure we all understood. Gave us feedback in the moment and spent time with us as we practiced.

I would recommend a more appropriate venue with less ambient noise and disruptions. I was also not very happy with the forced course dates re-arrangement

Nick was an excellent teacher. He really knows his stuff and teaches in a very relaxed and friendly way making it easy to learn and an enjoyable course.

Ellina is lovely and very personable and I enjoyed her first class, however, I felt I did not learn much the second class, mostly because it appeared Ellina was not familiar with the topic well enough to teach it. I feel had she been better prepared to teach it, I would have learned it better. I recommend requesting instructors their lesson plan prior to teaching a class. Thank you

I was disappointed to meet at Starbucks again, as it isn't conducive to being able to hear instruction. Unfortunately, Ellina did not arrive early as she indicated to secure a table. We were all together at one table, this was good however, we were right at the front door, the busiest spot in the cafe. Ellina's laptop was not working properly, a student ran to get her's, this indicates to me there was no prep done. We had two new students join us, we were now 7 students. One of the new students hadn't taken the first class, so there was a good amount of time on the basic questions which should have been answered in the first class. As it is a noisy, busy location, I couldn't really hear, I did let her know, but I guess there was only so much better voice projection available. It was a typical unsettled weather day in Vancouver, so we spend a great deal of time in the cafe. There are only so many pictures of your coffee cup and inside the cafe to be taken. Other patrons appeared to be uncomfortable with having 7 people taking numerous photos with them sometimes in it. Ellina did not seem to know a number of questions that were asked of her, so lots of time was spent looking in up on Google. By the time the rain subsided, I was no longer engaged and did not look forward to the out door time. I thought the first class was much better although, Ellina was going to email us some information from the first class and the second, I still have not heard from her. I did message her yesterday letting her know, it has not been sent, and have yet to hear back. Ellina is a lovely gal, however, I feel she was not prepared to teach the second class. We all set aside time in our busy days, and pay a good price for our class, and look forward to a new hobby, this was disappointing. I will take the 3rd class on June 18, I hope I have enough knowledge for the class. and I also hope we have a different instructor who is prepared and chooses an appropriate meeting location.

The. Instructor wasn’t ready for class. Her laptop wasn’t working and she kept getting confused when talking about material. She didn’t get to the coffee shop early so we ended up in a loud spot by the door, she didn’t speak loudly for everyone to hear after we asked her to. 7 people was too many. One person came and he had not taken the first class and he sat by the teacher and she focused mostly on his questions that we learned in the first class. Overall not impressed and don’t feel like o really learned anything. She seemed to not have prepared for the class and didn’t know the material. Additionally we met at a busy coffee shop again and it was not conducive to learning as people were uncomfortable with us taking photos in the store.

The website is not as user-friendly as it should be

Great class. Presented just the right amount of info for each class so far. Coffee shop location is a bit noisy at times but was bright and open for practicing taking pic while inside.

Matt was a very easy person to speak to and learn from. He covered essential basic topics clearly and also tailored tips and advice to suit my interests.

I like the pace of the class. I suggested to Oscar to provide the next class handouts in advance.

After many false starts and reschedules I finally had my course with Miki. He was a great teacher and I now feel inspired with my camera
